H2O is an OEM that designs and builds custom water treatment systems for the global offshore oil and gas industry. Our clients are the major oil and gas producers like BP, Chevron, Petrobras etc. These clients have detailed engineering specifications that must be followed for equipment supplied to them. They work with engineering and procurement companies (EPCs) like Wood Group, Worley, Saipem etc. to review documents supplied by the OEM and ensure their clients specifications are followed. Our point of contact is typically this EPC firm.

Documentation:

The Document Controller is the owner of the document management system and responsible for tracking and reporting the status of engineering project submittal documents. This role involves processing document submittals and returns to/from clients and vendors while adhering to strict timelines and quality standards. This position also provides optimum support to clients, vendors, and H2O Project Teams to ensure document submittals stay on schedule and under budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain project Document Register and Status Reports.
  • Process document submittals, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Set up Project Document Control Plans and access permissions.
  • Process document returns and maintain Document Status Reports.
  • Compile Manufacturing Data Books and complete Close Out Documents.
  • Support proposal efforts and manage project specifications.
  • Upload and manage Vendor documents.
  • Attend Project Kickoff Meetings to understand client document submittal processes.
  • Monitor and expedite document schedules.
  • Act as the Client Point of Contact for document control.
  • Provide technical support to Project Teams.
  • Maintain and improve document control processes.
  • Stay informed about the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Acquire a full understanding of the role and obtain Document Controller certification.

Qualifications, Training & Skills:

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Document Controller Certification Preferred. Effective communication both written and verbal.
