Role Overview:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team in Lafayette, Louisiana. This full-time, on-site role involves managing engineering resources, optimizing processes, fostering team development, and maintaining client and vendor relationships. The Engineering Manager will oversee multiple large projects and assist in R&D initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Direct engineering teams in the US and India to design and develop custom products.
  • Process Optimization: Enhance engineering processes for better efficiency and quality.
  • Client & Vendor Relationships: Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Team Development: Mentor and lead a high-performing engineering team.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple large projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and meeting client specifications.
  • R&D Initiatives: Assist in research and development initiatives to drive innovation.
  • Travel: Occasionally travel to other offices, including Chennai, India.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Advanced degrees such as a Master’s in Engineering Management or an MBA are a plus.
  2. Experience:
    • 5+ years in engineering management, managing multi-disciplinary teams (drafting, electrical, process, instrumentation, and control engineers).
    • Experience working in an OEM developing custom skidded process equipment for the offshore oil and gas industry.
  3. Skills & Certifications:
    • Proficiency in process instrumentation, including component specification and selection, and related documentation.
    • General electrical knowledge, including cable glands for hazardous areas, rated enclosures, and instrument/power cable selections.
    • Experience developing class-approved packages with ABS, DNV third-party certification.
    • Basic proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor) and Product Document Management Systems (PDM).
    • Experience implementing and managing a design review process.
    • General proficiency in producing and reviewing package document deliverables (e.g., Inspection and Test Plans, Material Test Reports, Cause and Effect Matrix, Wiring Diagrams, P&IDs, Instrument Index, ISA Data Sheets, Loop Narratives, Single Line Diagram, Instrument Hookup Drawings).
